Indigo, ochre, a red so old it is almost brown. The veil keeps the face the way it is meant to be kept. The horse is calm, the rider is calmer.

Behind them, low scrub and a sky that has never decided to be loud. The dress is the loudest thing in the picture and that is correct.

We chose this for the series Heat because the heat in this frame is not red light, it is sun in cloth.
